On the first working day of each month, our team in Waterford prepares and ships subscriptions to readers across Ireland and beyond. It's one of our busiest days of the month, with books to match to reading genres, gifts to pack and hundreds of subscriptions to get on their way.

What Happens on Subscription Shipping Day?
Before the subscriptions leave Waterford, we make sure each one has the correct book for the reading genre selected and all of the items that should be included that month.
Every subscription is packed by our team, and gift subscriptions can include a handwritten card with the sender's personal message.

When Do Monthly Book Subscriptions Ship?
Our subscriptions are dispatched on the first working day of each month.
If the 1st falls on a weekend or bank holiday, they'll be dispatched on the next working day.
Subscriptions sent within Ireland are shipped using tracked delivery, so you'll receive tracking information once the parcel is on its way.
Choosing the Books Each Month
One of the biggest jobs before shipping day is choosing the books.
Subscribers select a preferred reading genre and we choose the actual title. Our current genre options include Bestseller, Crime, Thriller & Suspense, Romance, Irish Author and Surprise Me/Mixture.
That means we're not simply packing the same book into every subscription — different readers can receive different books depending on the genre they've chosen.
What If We've Chosen a Book You've Already Read?
If you're a Monthly Book Subscription customer and we've chosen something you've already read, let us know and we'll include an extra book in your next subscription at no additional cost.
There's no need to return the original book.
