With the Advance Book Subscription, you choose how many months to give and the kind of books they enjoy. We take care of the rest: finding a brilliant book, adding chocolate and a little surprise, and packing everything in our glossy signature box in Waterford. It is a gift they can look forward to month after month.

Your receipt is emailed directly to you and no prices, receipts or invoices are included inside the gift.
How your Advance Book Subscription works

Choose 1, 3, 6 or 12 months.
2. Choose their favourite genre
Tell us the kinds of books they enjoy and we will choose each month's title.
3. Select when the first box ships
Choose Immediately or start with the next monthly shipping date.
4. We take care of the rest
We choose the book, add the treats and ship a new subscription box each month.
Already read it? We’ll send another.
If they have already read a book we've chosen, simply let us know and we'll include an additional book in their next box at no extra cost.
There is no need to return the original book.
Advance Book Subscription FAQs
When will the first subscription box ship?
Choose Immediately if you would like us to ship the first box as soon as possible. Choose 1st of next month to begin with the next monthly shipping date. After that, subscription boxes ship from Waterford on the first working day of each month.
Can I give them something to open before the first box arrives?
Yes. Your confirmation email includes a link to a printable e-voucher. If you would prefer a printed gift voucher, reply to your confirmation email or contact us after placing your order and we can post one to you or directly to the recipient.
Can you send the first box to me and the remaining boxes to the recipient?
Yes. Place your order using the address where you would like the first box sent, then reply to your confirmation email or contact us and we can arrange for the remaining boxes to go directly to the recipient.
What if they have already read the book?
Just let us know and we'll include another book in their next box at no extra cost. They do not need to return the original book.
Will the receipt or price be included in the gift?
No. Your receipt is emailed directly to you and we never include prices, receipts or invoices inside our subscription boxes.
Where do you deliver Advance Book Subscriptions?
Free tracked delivery is included throughout the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.
Can I send an Advance Book Subscription to the UK or Europe?
Yes. The subscription price includes shipping for all boxes to Ireland and Northern Ireland. We can also send Advance Book Subscriptions to the UK and selected European countries; additional postage charges apply. Contact us for current UK and European shipping prices.
What is the difference between One Time Purchase and Auto Renew?
Choose One Time Purchase if you want the subscription to end after the number of months selected. Choose Auto Renew if you would like the same subscription period to renew automatically until cancelled.

Came across this gem while searching online for a present for a reading fanatic..I purchased the 6 month subscription . I received my first box within a few days in a lovely black box with book ,candle ,chocolate and lovely card . I am so looking forward to giving this present on Christmas day and letting her know that she has 5 more presents to look forward to ... I've purchased a three month subscription for my mother's Christmas present and the team were so responsive and helpful - I had extra queries about nut allergies and wanted the first month to come to me rather then go direct to her!
The packaging and presentation is beautifully stylish, I'm rather envious that I couldn't open it myself when it arrived but it's now under the tree for Christmas Day!

Having chanced upon The Book Resort in a list of Irish online retailers, I was intrigued and thought it would be a lovely Christmas present for a friend. Sure enough, it was exactly that! The box is beautifully presented and contains lovely items. The book itself was well chosen, but my friend had read it. Would this be a problem? Absolutely not. Once I notified Aisling, she dispatched a replacement which arrived much sooner than I expected. Overall, I can't recommend Aisling (who is lovely on the phone and clearly there for her customers) and the Book Resort highly enough!
