Collection: Mellas Fudge

Mellas Fudge

Mellas Fudge began from a small kitchen just outside Clonakilty and they handmake every batch of fudge to order. Using the cream of West Cork butter, they carefully make their fudge the old fashioned way.

Mella started making fudge with her mother in their kitchen at home in Bantry back in the 80s, and after much experimenting and trying every recipe they could find, they decided on the very best recipe, that produces the unique crumbly buttery fudge.  Today, using small batch table top cookers, it’s possible to make the fudge in a similar way to produce that original taste.

Best served after dinner with a cup of tea.

Mellas Irish Butter Fudge - At Mella’s Fudge, they make good, old-fashioned fudge. Good as in really good – in 2011 they won 3 gold stars at the Taste Awards in London (no other fudge in the UK or Ireland won 3 gold stars that year)*. And by old-fashioned, they mean crumbly, buttery, the flavour your grandmother might remember from the good old days! YUM! Luxurious and decadent, you know you want it, it is addictive to say the least!
