About Polly and Andy

Polly and Andy are mother and son, who live together with Tom in the beautiful fishing village of Cheekpoint in East Waterford Ireland.  Andy is the centre of Polly’s world and his comfort and well-being has been her utmost priority since the day he was born. Andy has always loved his snuggles and his comfort (he gets that from his mam) and there was a time when he wasn’t fully able to communicate how he felt and what he needed. With time, patience and lots of love from Polly and help from some really special teachers, Andy found his voice.

One day, as Andy was getting dressed, he pulled on his trousers and happily declared “these don’t hurt” before running off to play. Though Polly’s heart twisted for Andy, she immediately thought about the kids who may not have the words to say how they feel and what they need.

The first layer of clothes on our kid’s skin is so important. All it takes is one scratchy label on a little neck, an irritating seam across sensitive toes, or rough texture against soft skin, to cause discomfort. And when a child can’t tell you what’s wrong, discomfort can become distress.

After a lot of research, trial and error Polly found the perfect solution, bamboo fibre clothing.

Bamboo is super soft and smooth and feels great against the skin. It naturally draws moisture away from the body where it can evaporate more easily and keeps skin cool and dry. Bamboo is sustainably grown, long lasting, retains its shape in the wash and it’s biodegradable.

Polly knew bamboo clothing, socks and underwear was the best way to make sure Andy was comfortable in his own skin.

Polly and Andy was founded in 2019 and are on a mission to rid the world of uncomfortable socks.   Polly and Andy bamboo socks are super soft and have a seamless toe so no lumps and bumps that so many dislike.  Polly and Andy bamboo socks are super sustainable as bamboo is a grass that keeps growing without chemicals. How do I create my own gift hamper?

Add the Signature Gift Box & Handwritten Card to your cart, then choose the treats and gifts you would like us to pack inside. Add your gift message in the cart and we'll handwrite it for you.

How many items can I add to my gift hamper?

As many as you like.  We have gift boxes of various sizes so add as few or as many items as you wish.

Do I need to add the Signature Gift Box & Handwritten Card?

No.  You can purchase individual products without adding our Signature Gift Box & Card.   If it is not added, items will be shipped in a plain brown cardboard box and no card is included.

If you'd like your items beautifully presented in our glossy black signature box and everything wrapped in tissue paper, with an Irish-designed card and your personal message handwritten by us, simply add the Signature Gift Box & Card to your order.

Can I add a book to my gift hamper?

Yes. Add our A Book? option and choose the recipient's preferred genre. We'll select a brilliant new book for them.

Can I send the hamper directly to the recipient?

Yes. Enter the recipient's address as the shipping address when ordering and we'll send the gift directly to them.

Can you handwrite my gift message?

Yes. Add your personal message in the cart and we'll handwrite it on a card and include it in your gift hamper.

Will a receipt or prices be included in the parcel?

No. Your receipt is emailed separately and we never include a receipt, invoice or prices inside any of our hampers or subscription boxes.

How quickly will my gift hamper be shipped and delivered?

Orders placed before 3pm Monday–Friday ship the same working day. Orders placed after 3pm or at weekends ship the next working day. Delivery takes 1–2 working days after shipping in the Republic of Ireland and 5–7 working days after shipping in Northern Ireland. We use An Post tracked delivery. Delivery is free on orders of €24.95 or more and €5.95 below €24.95.

Can I have the finished gift box gift wrapped?

Yes. Add Gift Wrapping to your order and we'll wrap the finished gift box in wrapping paper before placing it inside a protective outer mailer for delivery.
